PV Training - Booking for Courses

To all interested parties:

Because of the high demand for this training course in the provinces and because of communications/transport difficulties in all rural areas for grassroots people, it is necessary for EDTC to set some guidelines in booking and confirming a training course in your province. It is advisable to allow yourself a lead-time of 3 months to organise.

See the current Schedule for 2009 (subject to change - please check for available dates first.)

STEP 1

How do we schedule an EDTC Personal Viability Training Course in your province?

All dates are free until a booking is confirmed in the form of a refundable K1000-00 deposit (Conditions apply). This system shall operate on a first-come-first basis. The booking fee shall be refunded if the PV course proceeds on the confirmed date and provided there are 30 or more participants.

What if we wish to postpone our confirmed booking?

If you change your confirmed booking, you will lose your K1000-00 deposit. If you are able to entice another organization to take over your date you will only lose a K500-00 penalty fee provided EDTC is given FOUR (4) WEEKS NOTICE, and provided this new location has 30 confirmed paid-up participants.

To re-book another date, the same conditions of K1000-00 refundable deposit apply to re-book another EDTC Personal Viability training course.

What if we wish to cancel our confirmed booking?

You will lose your K1000-00 deposit.

STEP 2

After securing a confirmed booking, begin at once to enrol participants. Although there are no hard and fast rules, from past experience, an enrolment fee of K50 or K100 will separate the serious participants from those who are only after free handouts.

A minimum of 50 paid-up participants is required two weeks before the confirmed date. This will enable sufficient time to arrange travel and accommodation for the trainer.

NOTE

EDTC reserves the right to cancel a scheduled PV course (and forfeit your deposit) if there are less than 30 registered participants. However if EDTC agrees to proceed, the following conditions apply:

• If there are less than 30 participants, you are required to provide transport (airfares if PV Trainer has to travel from another province), food & accommodation for one EDTC trainer.

REMEMBER, THE BEST PARTICIPANTS ARE THOSE WHO ARE PREPARED TO INVEST IN THEMSELVES.
