Written Assignments

To pre-qualify for an EDTC Training of Trainers (TOT) Accreditation Course, trainees must demonstrate adequate understanding of all 42 EDTC Personal Viability Topics.

EDTC “ARE YOU VIABLE?” was designed for “self-discovery” so that one third of the course is in the participant’s handbook, one third is with the trainer, and one third is with participants.

It is the trainer’s one third that you are required to write down. This means you cannot repeat what is already in the participant’s handbook. You are required to explain, in your own words [or tok-piksa] , contents of the participant’s handbook. These “written assignments” (once approved) then become your lecture notes or lesson plan for the course.

All assignments (except 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 36, 37, 40, 41, 42) must be written in the following format:

1. Why was this topic included?

2. What are the main points and explain its meaning?

3. Application - explain how the topic applies in life’s situations.

Lecture notes or lesson plan for topics 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,36,37,40,41,42 must meet all

presentation requirements of EDTC Personal Viability Training Course.

NOTE

All details must be thorough, accurate, simple and in its holistic order. Anything less will

confuse participants.

Business Courses Training Requirement

EDTC BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & ADVISORY SERVICES is a one-stop shop for all business requirements. The EDTC business system continues the holistic nature of PV where the whole is inter-related. Most business programs are organised in a piecemeal concept. For example accounting is separate to management or markets. Starting a business is separate to running a business. Developing a business and quality control is separate.

In business, one has to consider the business as a whole. Business decisions cannot be made by consideration of some aspects of the business.

In this respect, year 2002 marked the commencement of EDTC Training of Business Trainers
(TBT).

The success of entrepreneur and business development depends on the quality of entrepreneurs, trainers and supervisors. The EDTC TBT was designed to focus on quality and
to train trainers in:

·     Business Training Courses

·     Business Development

·     Business Supervision

·     Business Advisory Services – Bookkeeping, Management, Business Plan, Bank Loan Application, Marketing, Distribution, Secretarial Services etc

·     Quality Control in all business activities from production to sales.

See Business Development Courses for the scope of this training requirement.
