EDTC Business Partnerships

Global University of Life Long Learning (GULL) - California USA

EDTC Personal Viability (PV) is an alternate innovative education system. For EDTC this collaboration signifies recognition from an independent institution to reward & recognise those PV members who have achieved levels or standards of Good Character & Competence through the EDTC Personal Viability Grading process, which has 4 levels of Character & Competence including Provisional, Bronze, Silver & Gold.

The GULL/EDTC collaboration also means that for the first time in history, Christians everywhere can obtain a University Degree for actualizing the Bible. In fact PV articulates the teachings of all major religions of the world, which is WISDOM.

There are two categories of GULL/EDTC PV Professional Degrees.

(a)    Professional Bachelor Degree – for all PV Students

(b)   Professional Masters Degree – for PV & EBD Trainers, PV Coaches, PV HomeSchool Managers.

EDTC PV-GULL operating principles and pilot application

That:

(1) The PV Training Programme is adopted as the pre-requisite foundation training course for all other training & development training courses and the EDTC PV Grading system is used to reward and recognise good character & competence.

 (2) Participants on PV programmes acquire, develop and practice new skills and additionally capture their learning (using GULL’s practical diary and other formats – as appropriate) in order to document their insights on learning outcomes over an 8-12 week period.

 (3) To verify the learning outcomes, an EDTC PV-GULL learning review meeting will be scheduled on completion of the application/learning capture phase so as to enable participants to discuss the outcomes with a review panel and thereafter, to attain the EDTC PV Grading (Provisional, Bronze, Silver & Gold Grading) and also attain GULL’s Bachelor Level 2: Certificate (B. Cert.) award. [Note: if participants find this too challenging, then they can submit for a Level 1: Entry award.]

 (4) Thereafter, GULL participants may utilize the EDTC PV Grading system to develop good character and competence, and

 (5) PV participants may utilize the GULL system to enable B. Cert. holders to continue their skills acquisition and development to Level 3: Diploma and onwards to Level 4 (Associate degree) and Level 5 (Professional Bachelor degree) – as and when PV participants are ready to do so.

 (6) It is proposed that both EDTC and GULL team utilize the EDTC & GULL system as an integral feature, supported by Samuel Tam, Founder of EDTC & Winston Jacob, GULL Representative, Pacific Region. This will enable all participants to sustain their learning via a unique EDTC PV Grading system and incremental steps to Professional Bachelor, Master and Doctor awards – A lifelong learning framework with recognized qualifications that will enable participants to play an active role in Nation-building.

“GRASSROOTS UNIVERSITY” is no longer a concept. It is now a reality.

National Development Bank (NDB)

Through the experience of Founder and Master Trainer Samuel Tam MBE, CSI, OL, Entrepreneurial Development Training Centre Limited (EDTC) has joint forces with The National Development Bank (NDB) to help the people of Papua New Guinea.  Samuel Tam was also the founder of the Stret Pasin Stoa Scheme, which was used by NDB formally known as RDB.  This scheme was very successful, and Personal Viability is now even more successful because of experience he learned through his life, on the failures of business.

Over many years people have taken out loans to start small business, and have failed to re-pay their loans.  This is due to the viability of the person running the business.

A person needs to be viable prior to starting their business, because of this exact reason many small business fail with in the first few years.  Entrepreneurial Development Training Center's Personal Viability Course is to change the human liability into a human asset prior to taking out a loan with the National Development Bank.  The success of the business depends on the person.

Through feedback from participants it is proven that what they have learned and applied through EDTC courses has been an asset to them in creating their viable business.  For this positive results of EDTC courses, the NDB has made it a condition that all credit scheme and micro finance potential borrowers must attend the Personal Viability Course.  Potential borrowers must also adhere to the NDB lending terms and conditions.
