To support the economy EDTC has set up ways of marketing PNG products nationally and internationally where we can help PV members secure markets for their resources and PNG made products. PV Coaching is another way we support the economy by coaching people in micro, small, medium, large enterprises so that they are successful in both business and more importantly making sure their family needs are met. More
The private sector study was completed by the PNG - Australia Development Cooperation Program 1996. The study is about the absorption of PNG Nationals in the private sector workforce. Their key recommendation is for creation of new micro and small enterprises, this is something EDTC will focus on with participants of our PV Program once we coach them to be able to meet their family needs and the family unit is sound. In the future EDTC will organize Nucleus Companies to be owned by the people. This will not be set up until such time PV Clubs are formed and we have participants reaching their Provisional PV Grading. Training must also be provided to communities on how to develop their products to export quality and consistency to supply the Nucleus Company. More
EDTC offers a wide range of business courses, starting with the Game of Money where we teach participants to rollover PGK/$100 in 7 days. Basic books of accounts are taught so we have a track record of what they have produced. Our best result to date has been in the Solomon Islands where a class of approx 40 students were divided into 4 groups, each group received $100. The combined gross profit was $15,000 after 7 days.
